Blaze Bratcher

Writer and illustrator living in Seattle with her husband and two sons. Her pieces explore themes of place, the significance of horizon, and how to hold and keep moments of growth and change. She likes thinking about light in darkness, finding peace, romance, nostalgia, humor, emotion and home.

She loves stories with hidden treasure, naughty children, and winter thawing into spring. Her favorite paintings have a path leading into trees or glowing yellow windows at night.

Above all else she just wants to paint a good story.

I just got back from my morning walk and you’ll never guess who showed up! Yes! Robin hopped over to say hello and made my morning!

I’m absolutely head over heels about this robin pin. He reminds me to keep my eyes open. He’s a fri
